Merus Power’s active filters improve the power quality of data server centers in the United States

Merus Power supplies several dozen active filters to its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partner in North America during 2022. The delivery is part of a framework agreement, according to which Merus Power will supply the customer with a total of hundreds of active filters over the next two years.

Merus® A2-Active Harmonic Filters will be installed in data server centers, which are a significant part of society’s digital infrastructure. Equipment in data server centers generate significant heat waste during operation. Transmission of the excess heat requires cooling technology, which in turn causes electrical disturbances. Merus Power’s power quality solutions eliminate these disruptions and this way help data server centers meet the required power quality standards.

Merus Power’s active filters also improve the reliability and lifetime of data server centers. They are an effective way to increase system efficiency and reduce the energy consumption and carbon footprint of data server centers.

“This order is a major OEM opening for us in the US and a confirmation of the effectiveness of our multi-channel sales strategy. Data centers are an important business segment with growth potential in the future. Merus Power’s devices can support the power quality of various facilities and encourage sustainable development,” says Markus Ovaskainen, Sales Director of Merus Power.

This order strengthens Merus Power’s partnership with its OEM manufacturer and at the same time, it is a significant single opening in the American power quality market for light industry.
